Oh dear! I glanced out of one of our upstairs windows and there was snow on it's way. Fortunately, though, it soon disappeared We decided on taking a short walk at The Lost Gardens of Heligan. An unsteady scarecrow was there to meet us and the sky turned clear and blue.
All was quiet and peaceful.
A rather large bee said hello. This is all part of the Heligan Night Garden.
Some snow manged to survive in the shadows.
Garden beds were ready for planting.
A lonely flower clung to the wall.
And then woosh! Paper birds on the loose.
The birds are all part of Heligan's Night Garden
There is lots of space to wander.
The Play Meadow, below, was quiet and peaceful.
Onwards towards the jungle.
All was quiet with the sun shining on the water.
So much to walk and see, if so inclined.
Large Butterflies fluttering.
We wandered back to our car and homeward bound. Heligan is always an interesting place to visit.

DeleteActually Mike, it's been stormy weather lately and like living in a hot house since December 1st, where I live in Australia (Brisbane/Queensland) and now I see there is a cyclone forming off the Queensland coast gaining momentum and could possibly be heading for my state according to early news reports.

ReplyDeleteThe Gardens are looking very pristine and it must be relaxing to walk around while I'm assuming not too many visitors. The large bees and butterflys are impressive though I dread to think how big the beehive might be!!
Your photos are enjoyable, bright and colourful under blue skies. We haven't had blue skies for a while but the forecast is better for tomorrow
Popcorn & I haven't been out into the Lincolnshire countryside for a few days now. Dark cold days plus rain/snow don't provide much encouragement to go far. Take care, David.
Thanks David. Our first walk for quite a while and, yes, you are right not many other people about. At times it was like there was only us in the gardens - perfect! It's dull and grey today and quite chilly, not that we are going anywhere. Hope you manage to get out out and about with Popcorn. Best wishes.
