It's all very well for the seagull to have reserved 'Private Parking' when in Looe, Cornwall but what about the rest of us when we visit. We have to cough up £4.70 for four hours and £5.70 for longer.
The only consolation is that the Millpool car park does have a lovely view - as the photo below shows.
I enjoyed the joke and also agree that the view makes the parking fee a bit more bearable. I'm assuming that the gulls are just as much of a problem, stealing food off the visitors, as they are at seaside resorts along our East coast. In Bridlington they've become quite insistent and vicious in their efforts to get the fish & chips.
ReplyDeleteThanks David. The gulls can be a problem. I saw one swoop down in Truro to snatch something a child was eating. Quite scary for the poor girl. Often the problem is that people encourage the gulls by feeding them, despite notices asking them not to do so.
