LIZARD POINT : ENGLANDS MOST SOUTHERLY POINT.

The path above  is leading us to Lizard Point on Cornwall's Lizard Peninsula. This is the most southerly point in England.

The flowers make a colourful contrast to the sea. We were soon at our destination.

There are lovely views,
as the next three photos show

Nearby is the Lizard lighthouse and Heritage Centre. Unfortunately both were closed.

On another walk, the next day, the weather  began to change.

Still in view though was the Heritage Centre

As we reached Housel Bay it started to rain, but the Heritage Centre was still in view

We passed the Housel Bay Hotel, which has fine views of the  the bay, and made our way to find somewhere for lunch

All in all there are lots to see on Cornwall's  Lizard Peninsula

Thanks for visiting my blog

  1. Those views really are beautiful Mike and the flowers too. I remember the clifftop flowers when we were in Cornwall, and also the lovely hedgerows in Devon too. Good to see the weather is at last improving, 25 degrees here on the north east coast, I'd imagine it's quite a bit warmer where you are. Probably beginning to get busy with visitors too.
We're approaching our annual Armed Forces Weekend, I may go down to the seafront on Friday afternoon where all the stalls and the Ferris wheel will be set up but I will give the main event a wide berth, last year it was packed with visitors.
    Take care Mike. David.

    1. Hello David, it has been a pleasant day here today weatherwise , so we visited the Eden Project this morning. We have Local passes. There wasn't as many people about as I expected, which was nice, but I forgot to take a camera with me!
The Armed Forces Weekend on Wednesday sounds interesting. Hope you enjoy the seafront,
      Good wishes ~ Mike.
