A SHORT WALK ALONG THE PENTEWAN VALLEY TRAIL

A bit of a grey day yet again but we had a short morning walk along the Pentewan Trail, starting out at the old bridge (above) where there is usually car parking space in the winter months.

We then followed the narrow St.Austell River with views across the valley.

The path widens (below) and is usually swarming with cyclists and walkers in the summer months but today - just occasional friendly dog walkers.

Gradually (below) the walk becomes more interesting even in the winter months.

And finally (below) instead of carrying on to to Pentewan village and Beach, as we often do, we made a detour to return to the bridge via another path through the woods - and still not very many people about!

    1. Thank you Christine. Pleasant in the winter months but gets very busy with walkers and cyclists in the summer season.

  2. Despite the weather this looks a really attractive area and with the bare trees we can see right through the scenes.
Great new blog, I've subscribed and will enjoy following. As with my blog, I hope Google don't close blogspot down when G+ goes.

    1. Thank you David and for the subscription - I have also subscribed to your blog.
I hope Google don't close blogspot - it's my alternative to G+. The thing perhaps in favour of it staying is that Google often makes money out of the blogs with adverts. I have another blog and make a little each month from their ads. I have no plans to put ads on this blog though.
